We can help. We have access to an extensive data base of media contacts, and we can provide a custom list of the media that cover your industry.
How does this work?
When you order, you will receive a questionnaire by return email. Complete the questionnaire with information about your target market and what you are promoting so we can identify the best media contacts for you. If we have questions or need additional information, we will be in touch with you.
In what format is the list delivered?
The list is emailed to you as a zipped CSV file. CSV is a standard data format and these files can be opened in Microsoft Excel and many other spreadsheet and data base programs.
How long will it take to get my list?
Lists are usually delivered within two to three business days after receiving your completed questionnaire, and often sooner.
How many media contacts will I receive?
That depends on your industry and topic. Generally, your custom media list will contain at least 300 contacts, but may be 2,000 or more. It is important to note that the number of contacts is not the key. What matters most is that the contacts are appropriate, and we will work with you to create the best list for your needs.
What information is included in the list?
Most entries include the media outlet name, contact name, beat, mailing address, email address, phone and fax numbers, web site URL, and background to help you prepare your pitch.
Will the contact information be current?
As current as it can be. No media list can be 100% up to date–that is the nature of the business. However, the data base is updated on an ongoing basis to give you the most current information possible. Your list is created especially for you, to your specifications, when your questionnaire is received.
How can I keep the list up to date in the future?
Over time, your media contacts will change jobs and other contact information will change, too. The file you receive can be edited, so you can maintain the list as you discover changes.
